1. I may publicly coach the Self-Sustaining Leadership®: Essential Skills and Frameworks (Essentials) workbook after I have successfully completed the following two courses offered by the Center for Self-Sustaining Leadership, LLC (“CSL”), namely, Personal Leadership and Self-Coaching, so long as I have not been asked in writing by CSL to refrain from public coaching.

2. I agree to use my best efforts to properly represent and communicate the teachings of the Essentials workbook and my training with CSL.

3. When coaching Essentials, I will give full credit to the authors of Essentials and CSL when appropriate and/or as requested to do so by CSL.

4. When coaching Essentials, I will maintain the integrity of and present the skills and frameworks as presented in the Essentials workbook.

   1. I will not take any aspects of, language from, or concepts from the Basics, Activities, Takeaways, Charts, Models, or Tools contained in the Essentials and “rename” or “repackage” them as my own words, system, or approach. I will not modify, amend, or deviate from language and concepts contained in the same. I will not incorporate aspects of other approaches when coaching the Essentials and insinuate or lead others to think those approaches are from or contained in the Essentials workbook.

   2. I will ensure that I delineate clearly where Essentials begins and ends when coaching multiple approaches, information, and skills.

5. I will comply with all federal and state intellectual property laws when using Essentials materials. When reasonably practical to do so, when using materials from Essentials, I will provide attribution to its authors.

6. I may use the term SELF-SUSTAINING LEADERSHIP® in my marketing and coaching work. The term SELF-SUSTAINING LEADERSHIP® is a registered trademark and is the property of CSL.

   1. I will not use any logos, name, or branding of CSL in any manner, except to identify the source of my training and/or materials.

   2. I will specifically not use the CSL logo, name, or branding to suggest the endorsement, sponsorship, or ownership of any ideas, concepts, methodologies, or other matter not specifically included in Essentials or in my training with CSL.

7. I will not make audio or video recordings of any training or course presented by CSL without written permission from CSL in advance.

8. I agree that my completion of these two Courses is not a guarantee or assurance of my competence or ability to coach the skills and frameworks contained in the Essentials workbook, or which I learned in the Courses.

9. If I receive compensation for coaching, I understand and accept the responsibility to obtain my own professional liability insurance.

10. I agree that when I’m representing CSL and presenting Essentials I will not engage in any form of coaching that may be misinterpreted as being psychotherapy.

11. I hereby release and indemnify CSL, and its officers, directors, managers, employees, members, volunteers, representatives, affiliates, and successors in interests and assigns from any and all causes of action, including, but not limited to all negligence, claims, damages, obligations, liabilities, expenses, and attorneys’ fees that may arise from my participation in CSL trainings, and/or my activities utilizing the knowledge or skills obtained in CSL trainings.

12. I will take no actions to suggest that I am sponsored by, endorsed by, or otherwise affiliated with CSL. Notwithstanding the foregoing, I may identify that I have completed the Courses and obtained a certificate of completion of the Courses from CSL.

13. I will not make any statements, or take any other actions whatsoever, to disparage, defame, sully or compromise the goodwill, name, brand, or reputation of CSL and/or its officers, directors, managers, employees, members, volunteers, representatives, affiliates, and successors in interests and assigns.

14. I understand and agree that CSL has the right to amend and modify this Agreement at any time, and that CSL will communicate in writing to me amendments and modifications prior to implementing them.

15. I agree to honor all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. I agree that the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of the State of Vermont, USA, and all disputes arising therefrom shall be addressed within the venue, forum, and jurisdiction of Vermont.

 

I have read this entire Agreement and agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions stated above.
